Have you checked out Patrick Krief’s band with George Donoso III, Black Diamond Bay? Did you know ex-Thrush Hermit and Dears alumni Rob Benvie played on the new record? Remember End Of A Hollywood Bedtime Story? Bassist Roberto Arquilla is back! We recorded with ex-Tricky Woo-ster Adrian Popovich, who scored some face-melting guitarmonies for the album, too? And Murray’s been producing Montreal all-girl power quartet Pony Up? And helping out sensi-singer-songwriter J.F. Robitaille? Who are all these characters? They all play a role in this thread, the deep beyond and everything else.

Yes, so as discussed on my real, non-experimental blog nataliayanchak.wordpress.com, the new album is done. Now we just have to do everything else: artwork, rehearsals, photos, marketing, strategising, booking shows, making plans, etc, etc. You know, the stressful part.

Discuss.

Talk shows here: get info from the horse’s mouth.

It’s that time of year — you know, when our old message board is plagued by casino advertising, dirty pictures and other undesirable things. I don’t know how much cleaning up there is to do over there, so instead of trying to revitalise a dying forum, I’ve started this experiment.

I thought of it because really, other than montrealshows.com, who goes to message boards anymore? The range of topic for a curious Dears fan isn’t that broad, and so for now I have created some general discussions where you can leave your comments or questions. There’s also no logging in and no identification required, so no strings attached: unbridled thoughts are encouraged here.

I plan to re-appoint some authors and administrators, so other topics can be maintained and updated.

Anyhow, this is just an experiment. It may or may not work, but for now it’s a place to talk Dears.
